First Direct switch

Hi,
I've just filled out the online application to apply for a first direct current account. It went fine and immediately stated I had been accepted for the account with a £500 overdraft.
I filled out the form to switch from my nationwide account to this one and the form said I will be sent docs via email (within 1 working day i think?)
I didn't however receive any information about the account (e.g. number etc). Is this something I get later or when the account is switched over?
I've only ever opened accounts in person before so don't know what to expect.
Many thanks,

The docs are password protected and you'll receive the password by text (if my experience is standard procedure). Just read them and call them to initiate the switch (note switching team not available 24 hours).civilservant wrote: »I filled out the form to switch from my nationwide account to this one and the form said I will be sent docs via email (within 1 working day i think?)
I've just opened an account for someone and I'm sure they got the sort code and account number towards the end of the online application. Maybe you missed it?I didn't however receive any information about the account (e.g. number etc). Is this something I get later or when the account is switched over?0 -
This is a question I need answering too. Have even been on the phone to them to chase up.
After being told to wait for the email for another day, it has been two now and nothing since0 -

When you found out your application was successful and the overdraft it should've told you the account details:

Thanks for your help everyone.
YorkshireBoy and Ed-1 - I probably did miss it then, laptop has been playing up a lot tonight and shutting itself down multiple times. Will ring FD during the week instead but at least not worrying about it anymore.
Thanks.0
