    That's better ;)

    Late Oct 2014.
Sounds like you've simply benefitted from the first 8 week/2 billing cycle or so fee waiver then, as mentioned earlier.

Fancy trying it again in January to prove it? ;)

Already made the deposit this month. And I will be sticking to the rules from now on, barring another memory loss :)

Just to let you know, I missed the 2 Direct Debits last month (cancelled 1 by mistake, which meant only 1 paid out) so didn't get the interest on the £5K sitting in the account.

Was kicking myself, so called Lloyds and asked if they could overlook the mistake as a gesture of goodwill (I have had the account almost a year and never missed the monthly requirements). Call centre guy said they can only do goodwill refunds for bank charges. I said this seemed a bit inconsistent, so made a complaint. Within 24 hours they had paid me £12 in lost interest as a gesture of goodwill.

If you don't ask you don't get!

I use standing orders for the Lloyds Club £1500 requirement (goes and comes in the same day) but I also keep the balance at £5000, which means I log in every month on 2nd/3rd to move the interest out. I guess that means I can manually check everything is ok at that point.
