Would this stop you making an offer

Hi,

I am looking to put in an offer on a house but during the second visit I noticed the bathroom floor seems to slope downwards a bit towards the rear.

Would this be enough to put people off bidding?

Also if I was to bid, would a homebuyers or full structural survey look into this for me?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Floors and walls are rarely 100% level or straight, zig zag cracks in the walls then walk away.

If your questioning that - a full structural survey
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring

I would definitely get a full structural survey
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.
  • Thanks for the replies, no visible cracking anywhere in the property so that makes me feel a bit happier.

Thanks for the advice regarding survey, I will budget a bit extra for a full structural one
  • Wouldn't worry me enough to stop offering. My grandparents house that is up for sale has slopey floors. The house has historical subsidence but it is historical. In the end we got a structural survey done because people put offers in then try and barter it down saying the house has massive issues. Now we have our own survey saying its historical and all in as good an order as you can expect from a house of that age.

If it's an older property, wonkiness is really pretty likely... it wouldn't put me off on its own. A survey should give you a fuller picture.
  • Thanks for the replies, I have now made an offer and have budgeted for a full building survey
