How would your quote and a quote through Alamo brits compare
Oh, it gets very confusing! They are all slightly different. Alamo Gold gives you a full tank of fuel & up to 3 extra drivers, the 10% deal I got did not give fuel & only has 1 extra driver. I can't remember the exact details of the "brits" quote but I think it was 3 extra drivers but no fuel. You also have to factor in that any of these prices vary daily. When I booked I checked them all & the "10%" off deal suited me as I only needed 1 extra driver.
    I missed that bit

Plus, you'll also be able to selct the car/SUV that you like, from the class of car that you've backed, which has a value all of its own ;)
Can't you always do that with Alamo now? I have done the last few times.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Possibly/Probably -- I've not used Alamo for a few years now, as other suppliers have been more competitive.;)

In California (and some other states too) your spouse is automatically allowed as an extra driver without charge

I've just put through some identical dummy bookings and Alamo Brits are £89.30 cheaper than Alamo UK - same dates, pickups, dropoffs, & vehicle. -Plus you get 1 free aditional driver with 'brits'.
    Alamo Brits £535.59
    Alamo co uk £624.86

    and just for comparison
    USrentacar
    Silver £803.33
    Gold £881.33
    Platinum £916.33

    Budget £1111.88
    Tripwheels
    Fully Inc £740.25
    Diamond £813.75

    economy car hire
    £1185

    Kayak
    £960.51 lowest £1536.75 highest

    rentalcars.com
    £1386.65

    Hertz £1519

    All which show that
a), I should be doing the washing up &
    b) a bit of time doing your research can save you a small fortune .

A company that has offered a good rate for 1 person can be hideously uncompetitive for someone else.
  • wow, excellent research Murphy the cat. I'll check out the cheapest to compare what we have booked, as it's cancellable.
