I think my dog will go on hunger strike for a while (hes been too spoilt) but needs must and all that.
I have looked online and seen some good deals, will certainly be buying and saving

I would definately do the halifax card first smallest amount and a quicker hit in seeing your debt reduced make minimum payments on all others and throw all you can at the halifax.
Then work on snowballing the rest, "google dave ramsey snowballing debts" shows you how to prioritise, there are several train of thoughts on the best way but as long as it's going down instead of up it's working. Other than winning the lottery there are no quick fixes so goals to aim at along the way are good. Little victories
As of 24th August 2016 total money owed was

Oh I love it when someone gets it! You will be fine. It will become an addiction. One question....is your other half on board?0
-
Hi sanfrancisco
Yes my other half is on board however he is the type to let me handle everything and then ask "how are we doing" Im happy to do the finances with his support. Its a wake up call for us both
WE made this mess therefore WE have to sort it out.
thats the message for him today lolSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Found you on the PAD thread - it is totally addictive isnt it!? Be careful you dont become too bogged down with it all as there will be little hiccups along the way - be kind to yourself. I do a lot of swapping and changing with 0% deals on CC but I only have 3/4 now and swap between them. I was about to close N*t W*st card but they offered me a transfer with no fees for a rate that was equal to a LOB rate so I took it and when it is upped I will say no thanks, but be able to keep that rate until such time its paid off Just be careful of fees - MBN* are very high.
Surveys are good to add a little extra cash and if you really do need to buy gifts some can be taken as vouchers for M&S B**ts and Am*zon etc. Can be tedious but once you get into the swing of it its easy - trick is not to sign up to too many!
Cashback sites also good - when your car/pet insurance is due for renewal use a comparison website to get the cheapest deal then go through a cash back site to get money back. Also use these for buying on line too. You can also get money back if you sign up to things like Eper!on - but remember to cancel before they take any money!!!
I PAD everyday.I always tidy up the bank account using last 3 digits and send it to a chosen CC debt. I also tidy up the CC after receiving a statement and then again once DD paid...it all adds up.
I also have various saving pots - well change pots. I paid for my Christmas food shop in £2 this time and the turkey in £1 coins butcher was delighted with the change - T*sco not so:rotfl: When the pots are full I go off to the bank to pay against a CC debt - 20p 50p( picture ones) 5p and £1 (with dragon on) Quite mad I know. £2 coins add up very quickly and I often use these for a big purchase if there is one on the horizon - otherwise once pot full...........you get the idea.
Spending diary is great idea to keep track and this year I am going to try to be more disciplined in using the 'envelope' system for budgeting - like YNAB but free and uses physical envelopes/purses/whatever to put money in each we/month for things like treats, hairdresser, DD2 after school activities, doorstep milk delivery, vets bills etc etc
Good luck - you will get there
Oh forgot to add - extra money from selling unwanted stuff - get the offspring on board - not just Eb*y but lots of other ways out there - Zapper, Music magpie, for books CDs DVDs computer gamesBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Can I ask, please, Igamagam, on which site/sites you do your surveys?
Taking the money as vouchers for presents sounds a really good idea and the surveys are something I could maybe do in my lunch hour which might be a bit more productive than spending it on here (well, not every day anyway!)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hi Igamogam and thankyou for some very good advice
I've just returned from a nice long walk with the dog and actually felt good and positive about things instead of walking along thinking OMG!!
I'm looking forward to payday this week so I will really feel like I have started on my journey.
I wont let it take over but I will be putting all pennies etc together, rounding up account balances etc and chipping away at the CCs
So everybody fed, dog walked and fed, now a nice coffee and some more reading on here I thinkSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

There are lots! I use You Gov - pays £50 straight into account but can take a while to get there but worth it.
My Survey- Voucher options
IPSOS - voucher options
Your Say Pays ( very short surveys - pays cash at when reached £20 which can be done quickly)
There are others I use which I cant remember now and lots I havent used - sure there is a section on the boards somewhere about surveys
I found I signed up to too many so cut back as I really didnt have the time - I have gone for quality not quantity! You will also develop a 'knack' to working out what survey is looking for because if you done fit their demographic survey will say Thanks but no thanks!
Good luckBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
