gas cooker advice?

Hope someone can give me some advice? My gas cooker is 30 years old, the oven isnt working properly. It heTs up but never gets up to above about 150deg. Have checked it with oven thermometer. It was fine on xmas day for the turkey but the potatoes took ages. Should I try to get it mended or isnt it worthwhile?

I would be concerned that relevant parts may not be available.0

Most items like oven stats and FSDs (flame supervision devices) are usually available, but cost a lot for what they are, so whilst it may well be possible to mend you will be paying out up to 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost of a new cooker....and the rest is still 30 years old.
It might be time to treat yourself to a new cooker unless the old one is particularly beloved or is in extremely good condition. Its always a difficult call though I agree.0 -
Thats what I was afraid of really, paying out and then it going wrong again. Its been a great cooker and its otherwise in excellent nick but I think I'll start saving for a new onenow. WWon't be too bad doing without an oven for a month or two. Many thanks all.Magnolia Stellata0
