Ready to rebuild my credit score

Options
Hi there to all, where do i start, in brief as from june/july 2014 i am debt free :) a lot of hard work...
but prior to paying off my debts i was in a lot of trouble. to the stage of debt collectors at my door. got 3 county court judgements against me all of which I've paid off. lots of missed direct debits payments for energy, phone, insurance, van leasing, council tax. also had arrears on my mortgage (long story with an ex wife) house is sold and mortgage cleared.
Van lease is complete and paid off.

Now i have had 6 - 8 months with only one missed direct debit for my national insurance payment.
I have no debt to anyone (yes!!!!) need to sort my credit score out now so i can prepare for the future.
I have been married so do know i can remove any joint financial debt on the credit score.
Can anyone maybe has been in the same situation or similar, who can point me in the right direction, can i get help from citizen advice??
Need to get my CCJ removed, think i can do this as the debts have been paid.

Please help me
thanks in advance

Leigh

Your credit history will live with you. Only time can heal that.

All you can do is look forward and do all the right things from now on.
  • I was in the same position a few years ago. You can contact the credit reference agencies and inform them that you no longer share a financial connection but the CCJ and history will remain.
