Two nights in Dubai where to stay?

Hope you can help my friend lives in Oman and I am going to visit her in March and she's meeting me in Dubai where we are staying tonight's before going to Oman.

We will in effect have three full days in and she has been with her husband and friends before and suggest we stay in Barsha but none of the hotels seems to do twin beds. They usually stay in a suite with bedrooms as there is 4 or more of them. Both of us are female in our 40's and 50's.

Where should I book a hotel which area is to be preferred I imagine we will do some shopping but would be nice to do other things like beach, sightseeing etc.

Budget is kind of Max £100 a night and twin room a must.

Thanks in advance.

  • My favourite is the Park Regis Kris Kin. Not sure what the prices are for March. It is a short walk to the Creek,a short train trip ( minutes away) to the Gold Souk and they have a shuttle bus to Dubai Mall every day and to the beach. Only 10 minutes from the airport too.

Sheik Zayed Road is nice and central and on the metro line for access pretty much everywhere.
    Try:
    Chelsea Tower Hotel Appartments
    Dusit Thani
    Radison Royal
    Crowne Plaza
    These should be reasonably priced.

Festival City is also pretty central and next to shops, try the crowne plaza there.
(On second thoughts this might be further out than you would like for a first visit)

If you want to be in al-Barsha, the Holiday Inn al Barsha has twin bedded rooms and could be available around your £100 budget per room per night, depending on dates. For a bit more luxury, the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates also has twin bedded rooms. It's actually connected to the mall, though almost double the price of the Holiday Inn.

I haven't seen the Holiday Inn, but hey, it's a Holiday Inn, so you know what you're getting. The Kempinski is of course a very good property (which I have been in). Am sure there are other hotels with twin rooms in both al Barsha and the nearby marina area, but not sure what would be available in your budget.

I really like the Crowne Plaza. Not the cheapest option but is reasonable value, in a fantastic location and has several bars and restaurants onsite.

Me too. The Club Floor rooms are well worth the extra.
