Filled a funeral payment claim form does dwp do any checks on what my dad left apart from asking for bank statement do they check what he had in his account after i gave the statements or do they take youre word for it

They can verify the details of his estate, yes.

No the will didnt mention what he had but can they go to his bank and check the bank ammount he had in after the bank closed his account

No just found he had 2 accounts

I just sent in a statement that i had but after estate paid out he had no money due to debts

Yes. Also funeral expenses have the first claim on the estate.They should be paid before any other debt.
