N Power Change of Gas Meter

3 Months ago N Power changed my Gas meter from Imperial to Metric. They state they have not had the new details from Meter Plus. Meter Plus say they should get them in two days.
I have phoned them every two weeks but still no further forward.
I have now told them I want to progress this to a full complaint and await a call back. I am unable to get a up to date bill as they still have the imperial meter and will not accept the Metric reading. I cannot change supplier as this will cause even more problems.
Has anyone else had problems with a meter change

I made a formal complaint to "Alex" about this who said I would get a call within 10 days I did not hear anything so I again contacted them. They say the complaint was never raised a Manager now says it will be done now so I have to wait a further 10 days before I contact them again.
My fix rate ends the end of February it must be sorted by then, I hope.0 -
My best advice to anyone having meter swaps is to ask the person doing the job to let you take a snap of the old one with your smart phone before he/she takes it away.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

No problems- installer left new and old readings -all live and online within a weekNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I have now sent a very long letter to NPower complaint department waiting I hope for them to reply. I was going to forward my letter to the NPower representative who monitors this site but when I look at his contact details on profile site it directs me to NPower main web site. Can anyone one help.0

Meter Plus are owned and run by Npower, they do some National Grid contracts changing meters. If the installer has done his job correctly all the old meter details should be on the yellow sticky label on the new meter, just be sure that they now bill you correct rate..that is the number of units used are now multiplied by 11 and not 33 .0

Thanks for that, I have taken a photo of the yellow sticker and the meter reading with detail's and reading to date. I even phoned meter plus who blamed Npower. My account shows that the meter was examined on the 7th of October I raised this they said the new meter details are not on the system I am waiting to hear back after my complaint has been put in writing. Thanks for your interest and advice.0

I used to work for Meter Plus , my main work office was the Npower office in Sheffield..so Npower blame an offshoot of their own operations..they just shot themselves in the foot. Just keep a weather eye out on your billing that you dont get billed for a 4 dial Imperial meter when you now have the much faster 5 dial Metric getting thro the units 2.8 times faster, ( with a 2.8 times bigger bill) I ve just sorted one like that what had been ongoing for 18 monthsbowlesbargain wrote: »Thanks for that, I have taken a photo of the yellow sticker and the meter reading with detail's and reading to date.
