Existing customer quote is higher than new

Trying to find the cheapest fixed dual fuel deal I found my existing supplier was in the top three offering on a price comparison website. the January 2016 Online fixed dual fuel deal (Scottish power). Using my accurate consumption data I guessed it would be like for like when I got my online supplier to do the quote (phone and web), but it was £120 p/yr more. Typing in the same data as a new customer aswell gave the cheaper price. I never had an explanation, but I did get the cheaper deal when I asked. It doesnt seem fair or rewarding for customer loyalty. It really is worth investigating the figures and querying descrepancies.

Are you sure that they didn't try and put you on the 2018 tariff?


I would certainly complain!
