Dublin

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on good hotels in Dublin, or any links for special offers - we are looking to go in August. Thanks

    Try http://reservations.ireland.com/avlSearchForm.asp

It's a site run by the Irish Times newspaper with the actual reservations being handled by https://www.gulliver.ie
I've used them before for Dublin hotels and found them to be very efficient with prices far below what the hotels were offering directly.

    Hi
If you are not taking a car I suggest making sure that if you are staying out of town centre that you pick a hotel near a metro station such as Lansdowne Rd. Hotels are also cheaper.

If its a group of mates going then its better craic getting a hostel.. fairly cheap as well! Tends to be around £10 - £15 a night.. and there are loads to choose from around the city centre.

If the only rooms available have more beds than you want, you can buy the room out to avoid any serial killers sharing your room with you, and it still works out fairly cheap. :)

Oh, and breakfast is included if ya can face it :)

We stayed at Bewleys Hotel in Ballsbridge which is about a 25 min walk from the centre of Dublin. It is also VERY close to the DART line, so incredibly quick to get into the heart of the city. Costs 99 euros per room, per night. Breakfast isn't included, but we saw this as an excuse to get into the centre early. Alternatively, breakfast at the hotel is about 8 euros per person.
