ASDA's PPC tickets cars stuck trying to leave store.

You couldn't make it up (well, if you were a comedy writer, you probably could).
Due to work being undertaken to add a bus lane under Colchester's North Station bridge, there have been massive traffic snarl-ups on what is a major bottlekneck.
As a result, vehicles attempting to leave the nearby ASDA store have found themselves caught-up in the chaos and, unable to leave the carpark, they have then recieved PCNs from ASDA's PPC for ever-staying the time limit.
This was reported on the Daily Gazzette F/B page and has had more than the odd comment from people.

The correct solution to this problem is to batter ASDA black and blue with complaints about the PPC they have hired to reduce the number of customers visiting their store.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

If enough people kick up a fuss ASDA will probably sort this with the usual slightly patronising, highly irritating and not a clue statement, something along the lines of

Although it will be crap publicity at that, and most will just fold and pay up. The only good outcome would be for asda to get in touch with those affected, issue an apology+ voucher and fire those who paid smartas well as a full refund an appology and a voucher of at least £50From the Plain Language Commission:

Nearly as bad as the Co-op sleepwalking into 'letting' CEL sue their employees, as we just heard about:
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/cel-turn-up-to-court-50-cases-of.html
and District Enforcement routinely and aggressively suing students and lecturers and admin staff at Staff Uni:
http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/district-enforcement-lose-to-lecturer.html
...as well as suing users and Council employees at Surrey County Council car parks - a daft decision by the Council to let DE infiltrate.
I do wonder what Morrisons are doing about PE who are suing customers willy-nilly - and yet I have never heard about a case against a Morrisons employee.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
