I don't think it's "normal" to get a red face, even for a minute, after exfoliating. Harsh treatment could eventually lead to thread veins.
And not just that- it can create hardened skin where as a result of many micro-tears the skin re-grows back again but just like any other scar, it grows back thicker to cover the damage and if you suffer from keloids scars then it can be much worse.
Hands up who wants harder skin on their faces?:eek:0
