I thought Lufthansa were a decent airline

I've flown with them a few times; they seemed quietly efficient...

However, if anything goes wrong, their customer service seems to be Ryanair style - ignore your complaints and hope they go away.

I won't give all the boring details of the complaint but in brief, on both outbound and return flights to the USA we were given the wrong seats, not those we had booked and paid extra for. I want the extra 100 euros refunding.

I complained at the time and was told a report had been prepared and that someone from Lufthansa would contact me, but no one has done so.
I filled in the contact form on their website (and had confirmation it was received) 3 weeks ago, but no response.
I e-mailed customer services, but no response.

Just booked my next flight with BA, and will avoid Lufthansa whenever I can.

It's worth checking whether they are on Facebook. I know that other airlines and travel companies tend to take more notice of people who complain there - (obviously don't reveal all your details ).

I've waited well over 3 weeks for email responses from BA's customer service department. Large companies like that generally do not handle email communications well. Give LH a call if you want your issue sorted quickly.
