Just wrote a long damning review of our experience of Yale Doors on TrustPilot, but Yale appear to have reported the review and its been removed. Can't think why...perhaps its due to the fact they appear to import these reviews into their main website to let the world know how good they are
We arranged to have a new front and back door fitted by Yale Doors in early 2014. Their subcontractor arrived to fit with bloodshot eyes smelling strongly of dope, and perhaps unsurprisingly then proceeded to fit both doors extremely poorly.
Over the past year I have had to take regular days off work so that their subcontractors could tinker with the door to no avail. In the meantime we have had security problems with the doors (couldn't lock), parts of the door falling off/breaking, as well as them letting in more of a draft than our old wooden doors.
This has gone on all year until today when a different subcontractor turns up, refits the back door, but says the front is so badly fitted that a whole new door needs to be ordered. This will mean even more long frustrating telephone calls with Yale, failed callbacks, and more time off work.
To be honest I've had it with this company and their non existent customer service. We paid good money for these doors. My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs and go with somebody more professional.

create your own website and slag them off. Being to the point and truthful.
Doesnt take long to get your site up there in the searches, I managed to get one just above or below? i forget now.
But it helped then sort the issue out to my satisfaction. Although it included they taking posession of the site.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
not a bad idea actually. I may just give that a go...
out of interest, did you manage to get any financial compensation from them? - I was thinking of trying the small claims court...0 -

I can see why it was removed if you put that bit in. Write another review, stick to facts you can prove eg repeated return visits meaning you were obliged to miss work, contractor saying you need a whole new front door, is there an option to add photo's etc.
I wonder how you paid for this & whether you might still have some recourse through C/C or D/C?? Section 75 or Chargeback - faulty goods. Might be too late, not sure what the time limitations are.
PS Have they even bothered to send a proper surveyor out to take a look & write a full report?Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -

The time limit for a chargeback varies depending on the bank or card issuer but is generally in the 120 to 180 day range.
Section 75 claims can be started up to 6 years from the date of purchase of goods (if the OP is in England) and 5 years from when a problem became apparent if in Scotland.0
