Should I switch?
Hello,
I am currently with Scottish Power for gas and electricity. It was a fixed rate that expired in March 2014, so presumably I am now on their standard online tariff (bill still shows fixed rate exp. March 2014). I have had various problems with meter readings and bills that have only just been resolved which is why I haven't switched before now. I finally got an accurate bill in December and when I put the usage details for the last year into the Cheap Energy Club is has recommended that I move to NPower paying £81/month. I had been paying £92/month to SP, but when my meter readings were corrected my account was in credit so they refunded me £240 and also reduced my DD to £69/month due to the fact that I had used less energy than they thought over the last year. As such I am questioning whether I should move if my DD will rise to £81/month. I don't really understand why the figures don't tally up when the usage figures from my December bill should be accurate. Can anyone offer any insight?
Thanks in advance

Ignore DD amount its a guess not a fixed amount .
Base change upon price not an estimated and changeable DD .
Standing Charge and unit costs are the keys .
Years usage multiplied by KwH costs plus standing charge PA .0
