EDF - have I switched at the wrong time ?

Currently with Scottish Power and after a nightmare few months have switched to EDF. I am on their Blue + Price Freeze to Feb 2018 with a total gas and electric monthly payment of £112
Just done another comparison, and I could get it for about £90 a month with several other providers. Have I switched at the wrong time, or is it worth sticking with it for the 3 years fixed price
Also, if I wanted to back out, is it too late ? I haven't provided them with meter readings yet.

You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Don't look at the savings or the monthly cost check the cost per kwh and the daily standing charge to compare what you are signing up to what's on the market at the moment.
In my opinion signing up to 2018 is far too long, 12-18 months is a much better bet. Do your own sums, don't just look at the dd costNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
EDF don't have cancellation charges on any products, so you are not locked in and free to swap away when ever you want.
That saving sound a lot so I presume the other tariffs you mention are short term fixes?0 -

I think some are jan 2016, and one might actually be 2017 but would need to check. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

With oil prices plummeting maybe , you never know your luck, the suppliers will actually be honest and reflect the lower wholesale costs. A one year fix seems like a better bet at the moment0
