  • DS still poorly, managed the night without any meds, but temp well up again this morning so another quiet day chilling. 30p on 1poll yesterday and 50p on y0ug0v.

Refund in from Lapland and they've thrown in a few extras on our booking to say sorry.

Ordered tiles and grout for the kitchen last night, cost just over £100 and got £5 cashback. Also ordered paint for both littlies bedrooms as they need a refresh, both tins reduced to £17 and a little bit more cashback (pretty chuffed they still did the same colour after 3 years)

  • Ended up at out of hours with DS today - viral I'm told and just keep going with calpol etc.

Got a tip this week about a website for possible wedding outfits, found loads of dresses I liked, but two in particular, 20% off for new customers, 5% through TCB - and one of the dresses was reduced. So ordered the two - and can't believe they arrived next day, they fit, they look fab and I'm sorted (except shoes) for under £100. Just have a casual top to find for one other day and I am done! Really happy I'm sorted and didn't have to spend loads! The one dress I bought earlier in the year is back on fleabay for what I paid for it, hoping it will go soon!

Just DH and DS left to sort now!

190 points on Ipsos, a Mr T home panel survey done and a fleabay sale for £3.37 makes today quite productive.

Here's hoping I get some sleep tonight with DS

  • DS much improved, so packed them off to the flicks with DH. Cue three hours of MEEEEEE time, something I get very little of with home ed!

Spent the morning repainting the majority of DS's bedroom and touching up areas in DD's - so they look much better. DS curtains were really dusty and dirty when I took them down, but say dry clean only - tempted to cool wash them,

Mr T been and spent £40.67 - back to my old tricks of spending just over £40 but love it when I win and it comes in just under £40 - Mr T wins this week!

Am leaving the house tomorrow if it kills me, I've had enough of being inside with poorly little people.

  • Quiet day at home enjoying the weather. DD painting and DS shooting something noisy from one side of his bedroom to the other.

Just about to open a case on fleabay for a item that arrived and ripped, seller wants to send another, I just want a refund as I doubt the quality now! Seller currently ignoring me!

Had few credits into bank account today - one of which I thought I'd already budgeted for, so I'm £350 up! Doh, bought the littlies some home ed activity books to work through when we get going again after holiday! Rest I've put aside to pay for cat / dog kennel fees.

Few fleabay items due to end today, hoping to sell a few! two packaged up ready to send tomorrow.

Super work on the outfits! Isn't it lovely to get something like that sorted?

Glad to hear the virus has gone at last - sounded grim.

I have an 89p maths workbook for DD next week. She massively lacks confidence in maths and in the past I've tried workbooks and she has hated them, so I've gone for the 5 year old one (she's 6) and I think she might be okay with it. We did the 5 year old "Telling the time" book last week and I was amazed that she sat and worked her way through most of the book in one go!

I really feel that DD learns much more and much quicker when she's home and relaxed. I was even pondering home ed last week but I'm going to see how this year goes as the new teacher seems much better. Lovely to hear how well it is going for you guys and glad you sometimes get a little time to yourself!

  • Success with the fleabay item - got it refunded, but another one is on the way to me as well, so i keep the original one, sell the replacement and got a refund! Pretty happy with that!

No fleabay sales, but all relisted again.

I've updated the credit card totals - not going to say anything else about them really. Just hope that CC4 doesn't increase much more due to the wedding! CC3 will not increase as this is the one I can't bal trans so I have to get this clear and quick!

    Another 75p on 1poll

Checked my clubcard voucher balance which is looking quite good at £37 - will be using that for Christmas presents!
