Default has wrong date

Morning all, I'm after some advice re when a default date should be registered. I always thought the default date should within 2 months of the date of the last payment. I've just found out I have a default which should now be statute barred but the default was registered almost a year after the last payment so it's There were no further payments or acknowledgements of the debt during that time.
Is it worth contacting the concerned parties to have the date corrected?

Any help much appreciated

apples for above typo, should read 'so it's still showing' before the sentence beginning 'There were'.

Thats not true, a default can be when they decide but should be after 6 months arrears

Hi, thanks for the info. 6 months would be February anyway yet the date is September, surely must be worth querying this?
