B & Q honest review not allowed

I purchased some stones from B & Q recently and had so much trouble getting them I posted an honest review of my experience.

Here is the review.

This rating is for the product not the b&q service

I phoned b & q Southend store and was told this product was seasonal and would take at least 8 weeks to be delivered. I contacted b & q customer services who didn't have a clue if it was even available as the b & q website says delivery only but the Tradepoint website says collect only. So I chanced it and ordered online as it said delivery within 5 days. The order was delivered very quickly direct from the manufacturer and the product is a good product and looks very nice now the stones are down. 5 stars for the product but 1 star for b & q.

Here is the reply I got from B&Q

Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!

I will never trust any review on B&Qs website again as obviously only good reviews are allowed to be posted.

    Mothercare do the same. I submitted a review after having problems wth the product and then the customer service that followed. I had a similar response to yourself and because it didn't meet certain guidelines they wouldn't publish an honest review.

    Makes me think twice now when reading reviews as it appears they cherry pick on certain sites.
  • there are other review sites you can add it too where B&Q cant have a say, also worth sending an email to their CEO

    All you should have submitted is this
    The product is a good product and looks very nice now the stones are down. 5 stars for the product

    They don't want complaints, or a rant about their service on the product review page. They haven't rejected an honest review about the product, they've rejected a review which concentrates on the service rather than the product.

    There are other places to fairly review B and Q themselves as mentioned above.

    Halfords do the same.

    I posted a positive product review and also included that the product does not have the lifetime warranty, which it does not. Several other posters had incorrectly stated it has. It was rejected. Yet someone else has posted a review only stating the product does not have a lifetime warranty in the last week that has been accepted!

    Seems like all stores do this. I posted one on Tesco Direct (entirely constructive) which they did post, just not for very long - there are now only positive reviews for what is a truly terrible product.

    red = talk about the service

    They did the correct thing by removing the "review".

    Oh and btw chances are this will be removed too as it's hardly in the right place either.
