Car insurance renewal - NCB with old address

Hi All
My car insurance is up for renewal in nearly 3 weeks. I've moved home recently but still have access to my old address for the next few days. I've received my NCB proof which has my old address on it. I got a few quotes and I've already found out that my new postcode is slightly more expensive.
I'm thinking of buying a policy for the new address to save money - will I have any problems with my NCB proof which obviously has the wrong address?
Has anyone been in a situation like this before and can share their experience please?
thanks a lot

Do you mean buying a policy at the old address to save money ?
Is it truthful ? can they void the insurance if you lie when taking out a policy ?
You would have to tell them of the change of address in the near future and they can or will load the policy seeing as they see it as an increased risk so it may all be for nothing.
Personally i wouldnt but its in your hands either way .0 -

No - I don't want to change address on my existing policy (expiring in 3 weeks) - the new policy I'll be buying will have my new address but my NCB proof will have the old one - hope it makes sense?0 -

You have put your policy will cost more at the new address and your thinking of buying this policy to save money soooooooo thats a contradiction ( if im reading this right )
It doesnt matter where your address was when you accrued the NCB as the addresses arnt considered for the new quote. So you being insured for the last year at the old address wont matter
However theres that requirement to tell the insurance and license people of your new address . Given the time frame of 3 weeks they wont load your old policy as its not going to run long enough and they may just send out a cover note for this period rather than printing off a full policy to run for such a short time . They may also go mental on the paperwork and send it all out and charge you £25 for this !!!!
Hope that helps0
