Breach Of Contract - Aintree Hospital

I was taking my Disabled Father to the Hospital, we parked in the multi-story car park in a Disabled bay. I forgot to put his Blue Badge on display. When we returned there was a sticker on the window labelled "Breach of Contract"
I fully understand why, we pay for a weekly pass for the car park of £17.50.
The parking "fine" says Breach of Contract & is for £30 if paid within 14 days of £60 there after.
I know we should of had the Blue Badge displayed - Do I have to pay this ?

blue badges have no bearing on private car parks, but the EQUALITY ACT 2010 does and is the reason this person can use those spaces, so contact PALS at the hospital and insist either they or the hospital management team cancel the charge or you will consider a counter claim under the equality act 2010

nb:- by insisting on the use of the blue badge, they are also discriminating against anyone who qualifies under the EA2010 but who DOES NOT QUALIFY for a BB
the EA 2010 does not mention the BB at all, but that reasonable adjustments must be made for those who do qualify, this could include placing your VRN on a "whitelist"

usually you would wait for the NTK and then appeal it0 -
Which PPC "manages" parking at this hospital?0

Do a search here and on Pepipoo for 'Trethowans Aintree' (Trethowans are the solicitors they use).
A number of examples of how to deal with this combo! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I went to the General Office in the hospital today, straight away the lady said to protest it. She said to make a copy of the Blue Badge, right a little note sayin I'm protesting it, I was stressed n forgot to put the Blue Badge in & said to hand it to her & she'll sort it out.
I'll do that over the weekend & hand it in Monday.0 -
It the hospital's own trust that manages it.
Aintree University Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust.
From what I've gathered, they do chase these up & actually take you to court via a solicitor.
And in the process of doing so they have lost large amounts of money through what amounts to an abuse of the court system.
in other words it could be said that the management at the hospital are deliberately wasting £1,00's of tax payers moneyFrom the Plain Language Commission:

It is only a minor thing but it is important if it should ever get to court.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

Read up on how to appeal this anyway just in case the hospital don't cancel it. As advised, wait for the notice to keeper/owner (NTK) before you appeal. Never 'phone the parking compamny, always write or email so there is an auditable trail ofwhat was actually said.I married my cousin.
