Nationwide Creditcard help!!!

Hi people :)

My girlfriend has a nationwide credit card and the interest rate is really killing her, she's repaying like nearly £200 a month just in interest.

She doesn't have a great credit rating so trying to do a balance transfer onto a new credit card isn't an option unfortunately.

Is there anyway to bring this down? Obviously the interest rate on this card is high, is there anything nationwide will assist her with?

Appreciate all your help :D

James

  • You could ask Nationwide if they will reduce the rate but this might mean the card being frozen to any new spending.
Does she have no goods at all which you can sell to put towards the debt?

    Thanks for your reply Jones!

Yeah I think that might have to be the first step taken, will try and go into the branch this weekend with her!

She only has a car, but this is on finance and she only has roughly 12months left of payments, so ideally wanting to get that paid off first!
