Powergen Go Green - Expensive?

Thinking about switching to Powergen Go Green tariff for gas and electricity as it is from 100% renewable sources.
I’m currently on British Gas dual fuel but not too sure about how much I use as I haven’t been renting for very long.
As just a rough estimate (as in “not much more”, “a lot more” or “a hell of a lot more”) how much extra do you think I would pay?
Cheers

Call me cynical but please don't be conned.
There is no such thing as gas from renewable sources.
As to electricity from renewable sources everyone gets there electricity from the same combination of sources no matter what tariff you may be one.
Its just marketing hype, don't pay any more than you have to.
If you are interested in carbon offsetting then you may want to consider Equiclimate from Ebico. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

'Green' electricity(Hydro/wind) is produced because the generating companies have a quota to fill. Whether you go on a Green tariff or not, it won't make any difference at all to the 'green' electricity being generated.
As penryn states above,, it is something of a marketing gimmick. Regardless of your tariff your electricity is the same as everyone elses and comes from the grid and is produced by coal/oil/gas/nuclear as well as wind/hydro.0 -
In all fairness to penrhyn he is perfectly correct. Just because you offset something doesn't make it renewable. Derrrrr!

British Gas is now got a green tariff that will cost an extra £85 a year. A lot of people are being conned by these companies jumping on the green bandwagon. Supermarkets are at it is well. There are a lot of gullable people out there so these companies will just keep ripping us off.0
