Ebico gas and elec no standing charge

Hello all, I'm on an Ebico tariff for both Gas and Electric and I'm pretty sure I am in the low user category.
My ESTIMATED annual usage according to my November bill is Electric 1755 kW/h and Gas 3142 kW/h.
Ebico is definitely not for everyone, especially their electric tariff.
Yes you are very much a low user. Your electricity consumption is approx a half of the UK average and your gas under a quarter of the UK average.
However even with that low estimated consumption Ebico are far from being the cheapest - in fact they are 17th in a table listing tariffs in price order for my district(Midlands)
The cheapest tariff would cost £404 and Ebico is £465 so 15.1% more expensive.0 -

Thanks, I'll check this out. I'm not sure if I want to switch to an unknown supplier but it has been over a year with Ebico so it is time to recheck anyway, especially for the electric.0 -

Not sure what you mean by unknown .
But their is a lot of information on suppliers on this forum .0 -
Hi JJ, had a quick look at the MSE Cheap Energy Club, updated it and checked. Sainsbury's Energy is looking good and they are hardly unknown! Last time I checked there were a few new unfamiliar names (to me anyway) and there wasn't much in the way of real savings.
Have standing charge prices fallen? I'm sure they used to be higher. I will check out the feedback on Sainsbury's Energy.
Thanks.0 -

I'll add my twopenuth here. I have just had my fourth quarterly bills from Ebico, I'm three weeks short of a year with them. Total electric paid £89.09. Projected for next year £107.06. Total gas paid £82.32. Projected for next year, £93.73.
It's good for me, I am a low user, three bed semi. I email my readings monthly, easypeasy no bother, they sent a meter reader out once, he didn't have muddy boots. And I don't have a referral link.
