Hi, I hope someone can help.
I have paid for and downloaded some albums using Google Play. Unfortunately I can't find them anywherebon my device?
I have a hudl 2, I am hoping to find them and put them on my sd card but not sure how to do this either.:o
I am quite a basic user (as you can see!) so simple instructions would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks

ETA I changed the download settings on google play to download to SD but still can't see it on there?

They'll have been downloaded to local storage, not necessarily external SD card.

Plug the Hudl into your PC (via USB) then search the folders in Windows Explorer?

Go here on your Pc :
    https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#

Log in if you need to your tracks should be listed there.
Then try the Google "Play Music" app and see if they are listed there.

I'm not sure if it's the default way but every time I buy a track form Google Play it's put into Googles cloud storage and I use the Music app to listen to it.

I hardly ever download the tracks to my device these days.

I did wonder if they were still on Google's servers.

if you have downloaded them to your sdcard they should be here:

    extSdCard\Android\data\com.google.android.music/files/music

you will also need your music stored locally. imo the best way to this is with google music manager on a pc/laptop and download all music to a music folder

Alternatively, buy the CD, rip it to your PC, drop the files onto your device, give the CD pride of place in your music shelf and never have to worry about installing music managers and all that BS.

Windac32 (rip CD to wav), Winlame (wav to MP3 encoding) and then VLC media player.

Recently bought the new ACDC album, with the limited edition cover, I had ripped the CD to MP3 less than 5 mins after taking the protective plastic wrap off the box. Within 10mins the CD was back in it's box and I was listening to the MP3's :)

And before anyone gets on their high horse, it is FULLY legal to make digital backup copies of your CDs and DVDs. In fact only an idiot would not back up their CD collection.

FWIW I use CDex to rip CDs direct to MP3.

What's the Rock Or Bust album like then? (Not heard it yet).

No, it's a media player. I think it may have a library feature, but it doesn't force that upon the user and I don't use it.
The way I "manage" digital music is just via named folders, I use a batch file to create a VLC playlist file in each folder, all I have to do is double click the playlist file and it opens the album in VLC, or drag several playlist files from various folders straight into the VLC playlist window.

Good stuff, quite short, but for me it harks back to the classic and best of ACDC.
