Faster download speeds?

Currently, I've got a 16mb connection with Sky, and I should be getting faster downloading speeds through torrents, currently I only get about 40 kb/s. Anyone know how to make these go faster? I heard something about changing port setting on the router, but I have no idea how to do this on the router Sky provided. (DG834T I think)

You can do that on Azureus as well, tried it, but unfortunatly it didn't work for me. Thanks anyway.

Firewalls like the free version of Zonealarm doen't allow port forwarding.

You could try turning off software firewall and see if that makes a difference
