Emirates Skyward Miles

I have just booked a flight with Emirates to Australia. I noticed while I was logged in that the miles I accumulated for my trip to Australia last year have not been added. On contacting Emirates, they have said that as it is past the 6 month period they are now able to add the miles onto my account.

Given that it seems to be an error on their part, is there any way I can now get these points added? I have contacted them and they have said they cannot do it due to maintaining equality and fairness.

Any help would be much apreciated

how did you book the flight last year. If direct on the Emirates website were you logged in or did you add your FF number into the booking at some stage?
Do you have the boarding card with the FF number printed on it to prove it was an Emirates error
I suspect they will say that the FF number was not in your booking record so to take it further you will need to prove that it was

It wasn't on my booking reference as this was my first flight with Emirates, and I only signed up with Skywards directly after booking. I spoke with someone after signing up who advised me on how to then add my Skywards number to my booking so they could retrospectively add the miles. This was done, but the miles weren't added.

I don't have any boarding cards, or I probably do but unsure where exactly. I do have all the details relating to my booking and all details relating to my skywards card and conversation with them about adding miles after booking.

They have said the decision is final, however is there any way I could take it further given that it seems to be partly their fault?

was the number added before or after you had flown?
Miles are added after you have flown not at booking. If the number was added to the booking before you flew then they should have been automatically posted (no retrospective adding)
If they did not post then you have 2 months from the date of the flight to claim the missing miles

It is good practice when you are collecting miles to check that they have posted before you miss the deadline for claiming missing miles
Unfortunately you failed to do this and have missed the deadline for claiming so their decision will likely stand

The number was added about 30 mins after booking was placed through the Emirates website. I understand it was probably up to me to check that they added the miles, but surely I cannot be held entirely responsible for an error in Emirates not adding the miles.

I have emailed them again despite them saying the decision is final and asked if I could take this further and perhaps even get partially credited miles given it would be deemed joint repsonsibility between myself and Emirates
