Post up some pictures and maybe we could see what's going on?

Bear in mind there are two anti-roll bar links not one. Are you sure you had both changed at the original garage?
  • Post the pics on here if you can.

Hi, I'm just looking for a little advice.......................
I want to make some kind of official complaint about them but I'm not sure how to go about it.

    Thanks for any advice

As none of the other posters have answered your specific question.

Your first option is to try motorcodes

I would certainly also complain to the DVSA. While they may say you have passed a time limit the details will be logged and if enough complaints build up about the test centre, they may find they are no longer a test centre.

Also name the garage in your posts and also start a blog. As long as you just give facts and make no defamatory comments you are on safe ground. The advantage of this will be that anyone searching for garages or MOT centres in your area will have Google throwing up the garage with your experience and hopefully warn others.

You can ignore the advice above about VOSA, they have been out of existence for nearly a year.

My car use to eat droplinks, so I never buy the cheap ones. There is too much second rate rubbish coming out of China. They last a few months and fail.

My mistake, indeed it was the VI when I was last involved with them! Policy on looking however has changed little.

However, trying to undermine a business based solely on the advice of another business, doubled with the fact that the OP isn't even sure which components were replaced seems completely overkill.

If I was being castigated on-line (and we'll set aside the legal element and concentrate squarely on the spirit of what is trying to be achieved) on this basis would seem very harsh.

It could well be that the work has been carried out (I add again, the OP initially was quite insistent that an 'anti-roll bar' had been replaced) in which case what is trying to be achieved?

scotsbob, out of interest are you a mechanic or a NT?

    Are you surprised?

The question asked was where to make a complaint. No diagnosis was asked for therefore no "pics" are required.
  • But pics would help others to see if the OP had a valid complaint or not. Plus the fact the OP doesnt know what part it actually was...
