I guess this means we must be colluding acolytes :rotfl:
I can almost hear the next outrage. It goes something along the lines of Nicola using special technology to send personal indoctrinating messages direct to members brains. :rotfl:0 -
Leanne, I don't think you have seen much in the way of support for Carmichael here, the current "spat" is more about the asymmetric moral attitude that the SNP have towards one of their own.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -

I'm not arguing that anyone is supporting him but it's almost like it is unimportant or not a big deal what he did. Well it is a big deal, it could very well have changed the outcome in an election. And he told that lie in the full knowledge of what it may mean. It's over and I'm not going to get heated about it but it does annoy me that what happened with Phillipa Whitford is seen as comparable. To me it isn't.0 -

And Whitford's completely fabricated NHS stories on the evils of non-existent cancer care cuts could have changed the outcome of the referendum.
It most certainly is a big deal...
Those lies were watched by hundreds of thousands of people and hyped up on social media by Yes campaigners, not to mention repeatedly by a certain poster in this thread, before they were proven false. And he told that lie in the full knowledge of what it may mean.
And you think she didn't?
You don't become an NHS Consultant by being stupid....
And the fact she was obviously positioning for an MP run makes it all the more damning.it does annoy me that what happened with Phillipa Whitford is seen as comparable. To me it isn't.
Whitford was worse.
This wasn't gossip about a politician and 'he said she said' chatter about other politicians, this was a cold and calculated political move to tell a story designed to scare cancer patients and their families, by repeating baseless and spurious drivel about the NHS and fictional threats to it.
It was a genuinely despicable act.

And you know, for a fact, that a colleague did not provide this information?
This is the crux here.
If you feel so strongly about it then get a petition going, crowdfund it and get to the bottom of it. Prove she deliberately lied.0 -

Her former colleagues in the NHS know it all too well...A retired cancer clinician has described claims that only independence can protect Scotland's NHS from privatisation as "utter lies".
Dr Anna Gregor accused some politicians and clinicians of "scaremongering".
Dr Gregor, who was awarded a CBE in 2005 for services to medicine, developed the Scan regional cancer network and led the Scottish Cancer strategy from 2001 until 2006.
She was quoted by the Herald as saying: "The thing that made me decide to talk about this subject is that both the politicians and, much to my chagrin, some of the clinicians are now scaremongering and telling the voters and patients that the only way to protect our NHS is to vote Yes. That is a total and utter lie."
Dr Gregor also said she took a "very dim view of clinical colleagues using our highly privileged position of trust with the patient population and the community to politically scaremonger."
And...THE surgeon fronting the Yes campaign on the NHS is today exposed for spreading bogus claims about cancer treatment.
Dr Philippa Whitford has become the public face of the SNP’s campaign to convince voters the NHS is under threat of privatisation.
But medical staff at one of the UK’s top cancer hospitals in Newcastle are furious with her - after she wrongly claimed a privatisation agenda is forcing them to consider cancelling cancer operations.
The furious boss of the hospital yesterday condemned her claims as “codswallop” and “a load of crap”.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Simples.
Don't worry it's deemed yesterday's news. We've determined the severity of any lie depends upon..
- whether the liar is a nationalist
- whether people voted for them in the knowledge they're a liar and; to add to the list..
- how long ago the lie was told
She's a nationalist, other nationalists didn't care she was a liar and some time has passed since the lie ergo it doesn't matter.0
