No, just the SNP. Both Labour and the Tories like doing that. The Scotland Bill is designed to stitch up the SNP and has been used simply as a political football. Even ordinary people commentating in ordinary newspaper's below the line can see it too.

    Summed up well I thought.

Has this person ever read Orwell? I can only guess not if they think the Scotland Act is Orwellian.

I remain to hear what specifically was agreed by the 5 main Scottish parties as part of the Smith Commission process that isn't going to be delivered. All I ever read is vague accusations that it hasn't been delivered.

Bearing in mind, this bill has already gone through the HOC's. And the Fiscal framework has still be be agreed on. Legislative Consent Convention ( Sewell Convention ) is an agreement, that UK Govt will only pass legislation affecting devolved matters with the Scottish Govt's agreement. This would affect things like the Human Rights Act etc. Smith commission agreed to change it and bring it on to the statute books. At the moment it's only an 'understanding'.

    Devolution Committee, welcoming progress..
However, there are still a number of important areas where the Bill still falls short (employment provisions, definitions of disability, Crown Estate, the Legislative Consent Convention and inclusion of the principles of transparency and accountability in inter-governmental relations to be placed in statute in the Scotland Bill ).

We also reiterate the point made above on the central importance of the fiscal framework.

Nothing in the Scotland Act, and its devolution of primary law making power from Westminster to Holyrood, affects the right of the UK Parliament, as a sovereign legislature, to make or unmake any law for Scotland whatever...
...One significant shortcoming of the convention is that, although it is recognised by the governments involved, it has never been endorsed by the UK Parliament, even by a motion or resolution. Following the recommendation of the Smith Commission, the convention is to be put on a statutory footing

Barnett continuation was explicit in both the Vow and the Smith Commission. Agreed by all five parties.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

I don't think WFI are pointing the finger at Natalie ... I think it's more because she is on the committee or something ... another one to see how it washes out

From what I hear the whole Michelle Thomson issue has been forgotten by the unionists ...

    Not exactly...
The Guardian understands it has been alleged that McGarry was the only person with access to the PayPal account used by WFI to collect the donations and from which it is believed the alleged discrepancies have arisen.

Yay ! The Union is saved !!!

Unfortunately it's not such a slow news week as it was with Thompson.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

'Alleged' I think being the operative word. Trident and Syria votes will be far more interesting the next week or so ( though Natalie will no doubt be doorstepped for the next week or so )... Labour is in meltdown.

    My take.
However, in a statement released on her behalf on Monday evening, her lawyer Aamer Anwar said: “Natalie McGarry MP is aware that suggestions of reported discrepancies in the accounts of Women for Independence have been passed to Police Scotland. This morning I contacted Police Scotland at Natalie’s request to advise them that she is ready to meet with them should they wish to.

    In light of
“We have identified an apparent discrepancy between our donation income and the expenditure which we currently have evidence of. We have exhausted all opportunities of obtaining adequate evidence or explanation to account for this discrepancy.”

    :naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:

Why appoint a lawyer to simply to answer Police questions.

    Take those RTG's off.
