Missed payment at Very

hi, just after some advice. I stupidly missed a payment on my Very account! Anyway I rang customer service to explain that it was a genuine mistake and made a payment straight away over the phone. The man on the phone could see that i had never missed a payment before and it was a genuine mistake and reversed the late payment fee for me. My credit report has arrived today showing a missed payment to Very. Im so mad at myself! ive been working hard over the past year to build my credit rating back up and now its been knocked right back down again.

Does anyone know if Very will reverse the missed payment record from my credit file if I ask them. i really need it removing so I can get a mortgage!

You could always ask them, but to be honest I don't think a missed payment would have any effect on getting a mortgage.

They probably won't - they didn't with my husband when he missed the grand total of £3.95 - but we managed to get a mortgage 6 months later so I wouldn't worry too much.

Work even harder and set up a direct debit for future payments.


Of course you do need to remember to have funds available in the current account to meet the payment!
