Virus HELP Trojan-spy.win32@mx

I have the above virus after my nephew clicked on a smutty site. I am receiving lots of po ups, and a system alert. I have mcafee but it seems to be having problems trrying to locatre it n my machine, once i click on a scan.

its driving me crazy, any suggestions??

    Run a thorough set of spyware and antivirus scans after updating your definitions. If Mcafee won't shift it then maybe download, install and run something like AVG, spybot S&D and spywareblaster (my 3 staple tools). Also be aware that you may have set restore points since the infection so make sure that you check where the infection is located because you may need to turn off system restore, reboot and then turn it back on.
    By the Mcafee may not be removing it properly or may be having problems finding it because some of these "all in one" tools are not as good as tools built for a specific purpose,

    im having the same problem - but, found it was began by clicking on a popup from google saying ive won a nintendo ds lite - i managed to remove it all and get my system back to normal and then my daughter came in saying she had won a psp or something - she had clicked and brought it back on...

    i found; http://www.precisesecurity.com/adware-spy/aw-tswm.htm very helpful and this cured it....
