Transfering stored electric from 12v powermonkey to an inverter.

Will this work?

I already own a powermonkey, a device used for charging 5v and 12v things like USB stuff and smartphones. This is it:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Powertraveller-Powermonkey-Extreme-Portable-Charger/dp/B004XNLLQM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420494063&sr=8-1&keywords=powermonkey

Do you think it would work if I used my powermonkey effectively as a car battery, in place of a proper car battery, with a12v inverter? The powermonkey does have a female 12v car charger and the 12v inverters I'm looking at are made in mind with running from car lighter sockets. E.g. this one comes with a male 12v socket to feed the inverter but I'm not sure if that would work in attempting to draw higher watts?

Just not sure generally. Not very ... 'circuit/electric' minded.

I was looking at inverters like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/converter-appliances-converters-electrical-MRI10013/dp/B00ALRS1AS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1420681176&sr=8-6&keywords=inverter#productDetails

Does state for example, but still not sure: 'The 1000w inverter converts DC power stored in 12-Volt batteries on car, vessel or other DC power sources into the AC electrical power'

And e.g.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/BESTEK%C2%AE-inverter-charger-MRI3013BU-socket/dp/B00INW611Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420685565&sr=8-1&keywords=inverter

Thanks. Odd question, I know. Plan to build a proper small solar setup later but wanted to see if this would work first.

There is no way that that powermonkey has anywhere near enough power to even energise the circuits in an inverter let alone provide enough to get an output.

The max ouput of the powermonkey is probably somewhere in the region of 2.5A so in wattage that is 30W. If you get another 40 of them you should get about 5 mins of mains out of the inverter if you hook them all up together

    Thanks.

Knew it was low for charging, but thought the inverter might change it somehow. Noob at this.

That would be the equivalent of changing lead to pure gold!
