Lowest Price Laptop as poss!!

I start college full time in september and I wish to buy a laptop to work on rather than use loads of paper which i probably would lose.
The only problem is i am a single mother with a very limited amount of funds, So what I am asking is what and where is the cheapest laptop that I can buy that can cope with large amounts of college work?

if you want to sign up for a 2 year bb contract, a free one from aol or orange.

    Otherwise, www.dmxdimension.com or www.ebuyer.com

    around £292-300

or you could always get a second hand one.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

    thank you for the info
  • Do you need a new one? If you are only word processing and browsing the net you could manage with a slightly older 2nd hand laptop

You'd also be able to pick up a desktop PC a lot cheaper than a laptop. Don't bother getting vista, i bet you could get an old system for a hundred quid

You can get really good refurbished pcs and laptops from dixons/curries. Just have a look around their website.

p.s if you go with someone like Dell or Apple, check and see if you are eligible for a student discount :)
