Monument card PPI refund.!!?

Hi everyone. I have been called by so claimed "Monument Credit card customer service agent" regarding my PPI on my Monument Card which i had long time ago. He said I have been paid PPI on my card but not used it and now as the card has not been in use I am capable of receiving some money back. I was surprised. I doubt about it and tought it as a personal information fraud. I asked for their Tel. number but not sure this number is real or not. Has anyone received such a call? are they genuine? How do I know if they are real. Your care and response will be appreciated.:)

Call them direct on a number from their website.

People with PPI on their account (even if they never paid it or even claimed on it) are being contacted by banks but it is normally a letter - the bank would not say you could get money back as they would have to review your case and see if you paid some and see if you were miss-sold, they do not just ring up and offer money.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Monument crop-up quite often in the PPI Forum, a lot more often than here.

Maybe that's the best place for your questions?
