How do I wire up a Home Surround system
Comments
-
I got an HDMI cable, so thought it would be a simple matter of removing the scart lead, currently connecting the Virgin TiVo box and the TV and replacing it with the new cable.
No luck !
I tried altering the AV setting on the TV to HDMI1 and then HDMI2 but in each case the screen simply shows as NO SIGNAL
I had to put the scart cable back in order to see any television at all
What have I done wrong please ?
I can worry about the DVD set up (if required) after I've sorted the TV. I didn't even know until a couple of days ago that my TV will need connected via the HDMI if I want to see HD pictures
thanks for any more advice0 -
The settings on the Tivo need tweaking. Instructions here http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=3938&CURRENT_CMD=SEARCH&CONFIGURATION=1001&PARTITION_ID=1&USERTYPE=1&LANGUAGE=en&COUNTY=us&VM_CUSTOMER_TYPE=Cable
