Off to Turkey this Thursday, and was wondering what my best options are in relation to which, and what quantity of currency to take.Do I take Lira,or Sterling,or travellers cheques.and if I take Sterling, what denominations are best?
Any advice gratefully received.

I just take english notes £5,£10,£20
they will take these in the markets and anywhere else you go and if not you can always change a small amount there to turkish liratravelover0 -
But would you get sterling in exchange or lira, and are you likely to get ripped off?
