My clubcard vouchers came yesterday, so this morning I have used them for £20 meals out voucher, £50 days out vouchers to use with DS in the holidays and bought a lovely rose bush for my Mum for Mother's Day.
\
I also booked an online shop for tonight, delivery only £1. The shop was a bit more expensive than normal because it included ingredients and decoration for DS's birthday cake(s) for his party this weekend, but I'd rather make a special one just for him than buy an overly sweet generic one from the supermarket any day.
This shop should see us through the week and beyond, for sure.
We are well and truly in the overdraft though, and with the ex's car insurance coming out on the 13th of this month (£300), the bank account will not look good if this remortage doesn't hurry up.
Day 2 of the 30 day shred last night. Had to force myself to do it and was scowling pretty much all the way through, but I did it (albeit with a couple of mini-rests). I was praising the lord when the DVD got stuck and I had to restart it and find the place I got to again - meant a 2 minute break lol! I'm aching like a proper aching thing this morning and stairs are not my friend! :rotfl:

Well, I've done it. I bought the YNAB software today (with a 10% discount I found online
).
I've already allocated my new, single person budget, set up my spending categories and recurring payments and I think I understand it. I've also renamed my e-saver accounts within my bank account to correspond with the categories I need to save regularly for - ie., childcare, car tax/insurance/maintenance & home & birthdays & Christmas. I could do with another couple of e-savers really, but am at the allowed limit off of my accounts.
I'm quite excited about this and can see how it will really work. I love the idea of paying this month's bills with last month's salary, that would be great if I could ever get into that position.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

Finally, some news... my re-mortgage completion date has been set for Monday, so 5 days away until I should be able to start paying big chunks of the debt, including clearing my overdraft and paying off and closing two loan accounts. That will just leave the credit card which, once the ex has sorted his imminent house purchase, should also have a large chunk paid off of it.
Fingers crossed this will help us get out of this awful 'limbo' situation we have been living in for the past 14 months.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

A long standing BIN sold on ebay for £8.99 inc postage last night, so hopefully around £5 profit after postage. Just goes to show it pays to leave the BIN's on there for a while.
I do have a few more bits I can list, but am away this weekend so it will probably be next weekend by the time I get around to listing those.
Phoned up Sky this morning and re-instated my anytime talk add on @ £5 a month. A bit annoyed as the guy I spoke to last month suggested I cancelled it to save money, even though I told him I make one national call a night (to my parents), turns out it has cost me an extra £35 on the bill this month for those calls .
Just waiting for Monday now, when I should be able to pay off the two loans and hopefully clear the overdraft with the re-mortgage funds. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61
