Boiler noise

I have just posted on the buying/renting board for thoughts on what I should do about a loud 'ticking' noise from my boiler.

I wondered if any boiler engineers or other knowledgable people might have any ideas of what could cause this noise in an otherwise fully-functioning, 2 year old conventional boiler? It's a WB Greenstar 15ri.

I know you'd need to examine. I just wondered if there were any likely causes so that I'm pre-armed with an idea on this matter.

I've now googled and seen others complaining of a ticking noise with these boilers but theirs seem to be accompanied by other issues whereas my boiler seems to be working fine. Also I must admit got a little confused by some of the responses.
