UKCPS parking charge rejected

hi, I received a PCN back in Nov 14 claiming i was parked out of bay with the wrong time written on the charge notice. In fact i was outside the hours for obtaining a ticket. I have made an appeal to this UKPCS but they have declined saying I have not provided enough evidence to uphold my appeal. having read the different forums should I ignore this company or contest it through POPLA?

if its ukcps and not ukpcs, they dont "do" popla , so wont have given you a popla code , unless they were still with the BPA at the time of your infringement ?

its usually a waste of time appealing to the IAS, so its your choice, but their decision is not binding upon you

if they gave you a popla code, then appeal it

UKCPS do take some people to the SCC every year though

A no-brainer as they might sue if people ignore them. Win at POPLA, easy peasy. See the NEWBIES thread post #3 - DO NOT USE YOUR OWN WORDING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED, YOU WILL LOSE. POPLA is a game with certain winning words.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Did the invoice include v.a.t.? If not ask for one "In order that your accountant can pay it".
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I tried to appeal against
a parking ticket in March 15. They sent me a letter on 25th June declining my appeal. I have just received another letter today which now the charge is £125 saying it needs to be paid within 14 days otherwise will lead to recovery action.
Should I pay or ignore? Thank you

just read post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread, bearing in mind that this can continue for 6 years , unless they issue court papers

its an alleged debt, only recoverable by court, if you lose
