Selling car and Dvla tax refund

Technically and legally yes, but practically speaking I don't believe the DVLA systems would pick it up, which is why I also included the 'correct' way using SORN

A partial refund is the only fair system. As stated in this thead you were never able to get a partial refund but the system has changed. You can longer sell a vehicle with tax/RFL where neither party lost out. What looking_forward states is true, DVLA receives double payment for the same month.
I do not believe a partial refund is difficult logistically, I have just had a partial refund for council tax. I see no reason not to implement this other than to create more revenue.
