asbestos water tank removal

Hi.
British gas has just picked up that our hot water tank top up tank and radiator expansion tank are made of asbestos and are showing a white dust layer.

Has anyone got any idea of the typical cost of removal and replacement in the Hampshire area?

As I'm in the loft regularly at the moment, im wanting them gone pretty quickly, especially as they are already dusty.

Thanks!

If they are in the loft ( empty loft ) most people just leave them there.

They are not going to be made of asbestos. Possibly asbestos cement, which is another thing entirely. It's just a BG scare tactic in the hope of you getting them to replace the tanks. It is not a very big job to do. A competent handyman could tackle it. Or its a DIY job.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

How strange, being British Gas I'm very surprised they didn't recommend a power flush to fix the problem
