Morrison's Nantwich No No Christmas Cheer

It is now the domain of ANPR and Parking Eye
a meagre 90 mintes allowed so do not get stuck in
a queue

for a parking space
at the till
at the filling station

cos the clock is ticking and it’ll cost you £85.

I have used this store for years, the previous regime was a man with a notepad /pda, at least there was a chance of some leniency.
I
On A busy pre Christmas Friday, reading shiney new cash generator
signage was not my highest priority.
(revisted and read following the receipt of the PCN)

Guess what I’m now in receipt of correspondence from the great cash generator itself Parking Eye:mad:

Following the great advice and guidance found on this forum, I have lodged an appeal via the PE web site. I will update on my progress….
fingers crossed.

I will be writing to Mozzers CEO to register my disapproval something along the lines of if I’d wanted to play a trolley dash supermarket sweep I’d have gone to Wintons (Dale). (sorry I am old:)

in the interim any suggestions for warning other unwary car owning shoppers daring to put a wheel in the vicinity would be welcome..

Remember Next time you’re at the checkout and hear the beep, think of the wasted time you could face as a result of the Parking Eye Supermarket Sweep.

Cheers

I'd be telling them (regardless of the appeal outcome - you'll win anyway if using the forum initial appeal) that they've lost your business, that of your family, and, hopefully, that of as many of your friends as possible who you are able to convince to use one of their competitors as a result of allowing this aggressive operator to harass the very lifeblood of Morrisons - the 'humble' customer.

Remind them that their market share is shrinking and persecuting customers is a firm step in the wrong direction if they are hoping to arrest any potential terminal decline.

not that long ago their CEO was "hauled over the coals" by Morrison himself , due to failing market share - hounding legitimate customers does not help their image one bit and the only reason PE do it is to set the bar as low as possible to catch more people out

Good luck with that. I predict you will get a brush-off full of incorrect "facts" from from one Lorraine Dickinson, and if you reply pointing out the inadequacy and inaccuracy of the response you will be ignored.

Shop elsewhere and in a few month's time send Dalton Philips copies of hundreds of quids worth of receipts from another supermarket.

Has the permitted parking time changed since PE took over, or was it always 90 minutes?

If it has changed, was this subject to planning consent?

Remember - the signs will talk about 90 minutes parking time; getting to/from a parking space after passing the ANPR camera is not parking. ;)

Hi Guys, is there any way to check the status of a PE PCN on line?

Pending a response from PE regarding my appeal and the drafting of my indignation, to Mosser HQ I visited the offending Morrisons Store,
armed with a copy the outrageous PE demand.

I gained an audience with the Asst Store Manager, who to be honest was,
after I highlighted my awareness of a hand written sign on the customer service desk something along the lines of
Note to Staff re visitors NEW PARKING REGULATIONS IN PLACE........ BLAH BLAH BLAH (good to see they you are making business visitors aware, pity they not doing the same for customers)
and shall we say, a polite conversation ;)sheepishly sympathetic with my plight.

He did intimate that he would cancel the PCN on return to his office
    later in the evening.

    Lets wait and see .....

Try entering your PCN number in the 'Pay Your Parking Charge' portal and see what that throws up.

Success, today I've received notification from Parking Eye that
'the parking charge incurred' has been cancelled and no outstanding
    charge remains on the account.

They make it sound like I applied for a parking charge.

 Thanks all who spent the time to contribute to the wealth of useful information on the forum. Without it I would in all probability lamely paid.

Also thanks to Dave the assistant Manager at Morrisons for honouring his word.

Methinks Mr Dalton Philips should consider informing his successor
that the use of PE is detrimental to customer goodwill and loyalty. you reap what you sew.
