switching to halifax reward current account

I currently have a standard halifax current account with a cheque book and paying in book facility for depositing cheques into the account at the post office. I'm tempted to upgrade to the reward current account which pays £5 a month if I deposit at least £750 in a month.
I can't find all the info on the halifax website so does anyone know if the new account will retain my old sort code / account number and therefore will I still be able to use my cheque book and post office service? Does the reward account feature a cheque book service?
Thanks.

This seems to imply that you cant make deposits at PO.Paying money in
You can pay in cash or cheques at any of our
branches over the counter or at an Immediate
Deposit Machine (IDM) if they have one
However, I don't see anything stopping you from having both the old 'standard' account and the new Reward one.0 -
As far as I'm aware*, you're just asking for a 'redesignation', assuming you already have a 'Current Account'. So you won't notice anything different with the account and it's features...other than the £5 you get each month!I can't find all the info on the halifax website so does anyone know if the new account will retain my old sort code / account number and therefore will I still be able to use my cheque book and post office service? * Certainly that was the case when I did the same thing 5 years ago, and I don't think anything's changed since then.0 -
Thanks folks, I've done the switch online and my sort code and account number are unchanged so hopefully I can continue to use my cheque book as normal even though there doesn't appear to be any mention of them in the t and c's. I'll post again if I have any issues if only to warn others.0
