tomtom MyDriveConnect
Apologies if this in the wrong place.
A friend has given me her sat nav, a tomtom start 20, basic but it works and it was free.
It's not been updated since she bought it so I have tried to update it this evening.
I installed MyDriveConnect, plugged in my satnav to the computer and switched it on. I opened MyDriveConnect. The satnat said "checking for updates" for about 20 seconds before the message went off. On my laptop the MyDriveConnect came up in a small box at the bottom right of the screen and said 'connected' and '1 update available'. I clicked on the '1 update available' and it took me to the MyDrive homepage where I logged in and the small box disappeared. The MyDrive homepage told me to start or install MyDriveConnect so I restarted it but the website wouldn't register it and the MyDriveConnect just kept saying one update, and if I clicked on it it took me to MyDrive homepage and the process started again.
Things I have tried:
*uninstalling and reinstalling MyDriveConnect
*restarting my computer
*doing a soft reset of the sat nav
*using a different cable
*combinations of the above
Anyone any ideas?
