Scam phonecall post EE Sign-up?

Hi Forumites,
I recently signed my mum up to EE's cheap-o broadband deal via their website. She received all the relevant paperwork: option to cancel, confirmation of the switch-over date (14th Jan) etc.
Yesterday, she received a phonecall claiming to be from EE. Apparently they just wanted to "go over things" and proceeded to run through the deal, confirming direct debit account details etc. the woman on the phone handed my Mum over to her boss who spoke at a zillion miles an hour reading out what i can only presume were ts&cs. On prompting mum for any final Qs, Mum asked what her standing order would be (they said 17£ which was wrong) and the start date which wouldn't be for another 4/5 weeks. And then they promptly hung up!
Mum did 1471, and the number came through as 0845 413 4429, which on Googling came up as a scammers number.
Any idea what the potential issues could be for my mum, if she potentially gave over her bank details? Or any other repercussions in general?
Cheers in advance!
