NHS Hospitals Private or Public land?

After many an hour spent on here and PPP and reading most of the threads over the last few weeks I was wondering if car parks on NHS grounds would come under the umbrella of being public (funded by us the tax payer and owned by national/local Govt) as opposed to private land?
If this was the case surely this would make the use of POFA irrelevant as this was only intended to be used on private land or has the
numerous bags of popcorn addled my brain :rotfl:

The land is owned (usually) by the NHS Trust for that region, or maybe even the PFI partner. As such I think it is classed as private land.
I'm happy to be contradicted though.0 -
For the purposes of POFA it's "relevant land". It's not a public highway where relevant traffic laws apply. Same can be said for school car parks, station car parks (National Rail is publicly owned) and numerous other places, I'm sure, though Byelaws apply to some.0
