They may or may not let you, but this decision won't have anything to do with your account with another bank.0

You tell them that you have another account. It's a norm to have accounts with different banks. Many people here have much more than 10 accounts.0

With 1 account i want for personal expenses , but with second account to save money for studying0

When i opened my current account (as a student way back when) with HSBC, they automatically gave me an instant access savings account as well. Since then I've opened a cash isa and an online savings account with them (which all give rubbish % now). My mum also has 2 current accounts and a few different savings accounts including joint with HSBC, as well as savings in other banks. I cant see it being a problem unless your credit history is bad tbh? But as the poster above said, they're not the best interest rates for saving at the moment.0
